In 2003, the owner of the Reflector newspaper heard that I climbed trees and was well equipped to do so. He called me up and said that if I would go rescue a lady's cat from a tree, he would take pictures and publish the story on the front page of his newspaper. I agreed. The rescue was a little rough but successful and the story came out on the front page as promised. Practically overnight, I became the unofficial "Clark County Cat Rescue Guy". Soon, the fire department, the 911 service, the Humane Society, and veterinarians from all over the county were giving out my phone number to anyone who had a cat stuck in a tree. I rescued cats on a regular basis until 2018 when I retired from the practice. Below are some of the rescue stories that I wrote up. Just click the links and enjoy the stories.
